Suede Treasure Hunt Winner Announced!
Congratulations to everyone who took part
in the Suede treasure hunt at Tuesday's fanclub gig. We had an amazing response,
but there can only be one winner. We didn't have time to decide it on the night
so in the end we chucked all the correct answers in a pile on the floor of the
office and got Suede's trusty guitar tech, Peter Sissons to pick one out at
random.
And the winner is: KERENSA COWAN FIELDS, FANCLUB MEMBER 9210.
Kerensa and a lucky pal will be flown off to
see Suede at the Pukkelpop
Festival in Belgium on the 24th of August.
For those who couldn't figure it out, the answer was TRASH. The various letters
could be found at the following locations:
where would you find the filmstar propping up? - THE BAR
when you're on your own standing by the what? - PHONE
where you might find the person with the pout who won't be putting it about? -
SHITTER (IE TOILET CUBICLES)
all we see and believe is who? - THE DJ (BOOTH)
as similar as you can get to the shape of what? CIGARETTE (FAG MACHINE)
Congratulations also must go to our special guest djs, Dot Allison and Afonso
Parkinson for their great sets at the aftershow which really got the party
going.
And special thanks to The Peoples Revolutionary Choir's excellent opening set at
the Electric Ballroom. You can next catch PRC at The Monarch in Camden, London
NW1 on Friday, August 2nd.

Fanclub Show Spectacular
Suede stunned fans last night with quite possibly the finest and certainly the
longest set they've ever played. The exclusive fanclub gig at Camden's Electric
Ballroom saw the band showcase A New Morning in its entirety before storming
through highlights from their back catalogue. The mammoth 26 song set included a
"wheel of fortune" segment where old favourites like The Big Time and
My Dark Star were chosen at random by members of the audience.

Question Time
In anticipation of a totally revamped
website to coincide with September's release of A New Morning, Suede are giving
fans the opportunity to ask the band, well, anything they like.
This is your chance to finally find out what Brett's favourite colour car is,
who Richard rates as a guitar hero or perhaps what Simon sings in the shower.
Email your questions to asksuede@interceptor.co.uk
(one question per email please). The band will be answering the ones that tickle
their fancy in a video interview especially for the website and posting other
answers throughout the year on suede.net.
European Tour Dates Announced
Suede announce their first European tour
for three years. October's tour kicks of at Ancienne Belgique in Belgium on
Monday the 14th. Full dates are listed in the tour dates section of this site
